At Feel Amazing Wellness Centre, massage is at the heart of what we do. We have been providing massage therapy in Chatswood since 1999, building a reputation on effective, hands-on treatment and genuine care.

We offer remedial, sports, deep tissue, relaxation and pregnancy massage, with appointments available seven days a week in 30, 45, 60 or 90-minute sessions. Our therapists are qualified, health fund registered and experienced in adapting treatment to your individual needs.

Whether you are dealing with pain, recovering from injury, managing stress, or simply wanting to take care of yourself, this page will help you understand your options and make booking straightforward.

Booking a massage is simple

There are really only two choices.

If you are pregnant, book a pregnancy massage. It is a different type of appointment, with specialised equipment and positioning designed specifically for pregnancy.

For everyone else, book a remedial massage. Your therapist will use the right combination of techniques for what your body needs on the day, whether that is deep tissue work, sports-focused treatment, relaxation or a mix of everything. You do not need to figure out what type of massage you need beforehand. Just let us know what is going on when you arrive, or add a note when you book online.

Our approach to massage

Massage is one of the oldest treatments known to humankind. In its simplest form it is touch therapy, where a therapist works with your body to help relieve pain, tension and discomfort. It is a well-recognised form of health care that really does make a difference to how you feel.

Between busy lives, stressful demands, physical activity and the general wear and tear on our bodies, having a massage is a way of doing something to help heal, recover and take care of ourselves. It releases tension held in the body, with a positive effect on the nervous system, circulation and blood flow.

At Feel Amazing we take a realistic approach to wellness. We value the connections we create with our clients and offer a warm, down-to-earth approach to care. A lot of people hear about us through word of mouth. Some have tried elsewhere over the years and found their way back. Others have been coming to us for decades, and we now care for their families and children too. That kind of trust means something to us.

Benefits of massage

The benefits of regular massage may include:

Massage works well alongside our other services

At Feel Amazing we work as a multidisciplinary team, and our therapists can suggest combining services for a more thorough approach to your health.

With chiropractic, because a relaxed body responds better to chiropractic care. Learn more about chiropractic

With acupuncture, where many clients book sessions between massage treatments to get the most out of both. Learn more about acupuncture

With dry needling, to release deep tightness before massage, particularly for muscles in spasm or areas sensitive to touch. Learn more about dry needling

With cupping, added to a massage session to lift and release tight tissue, improve circulation and address deep tension. Learn more about cupping

With naturopathy, where our naturopath can advise on supplements and lifestyle changes that support your treatment, including magnesium for muscle tension, sleep and stress. Learn more about naturopathy

We also receive referrals from podiatrists, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, midwives and doctors seeking integrated treatment for their clients.

Massage is a hands-on therapy designed to support your overall health and wellbeing. Our therapists take a health history and signed consent from new clients, and discuss any concerns before treatment begins. For serious or urgent health concerns, please consult your GP or specialist.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to choose a type of massage when I book?

Not unless you are booking a pregnancy massage. For all other bookings, simply book a remedial massage and let your therapist know your preferences and what is going on when you arrive. They will use the most appropriate techniques for you on the day.

How long should my massage be?

It depends on what you need. A 30-minute session works well for a focused area like neck and shoulders. A 60-minute session is our most popular, allowing time to address multiple areas. A 90-minute session is ideal for more thorough work, or simply a longer session to unwind.

Does remedial massage hurt?

Some areas may be tender, particularly if muscles are tight or haven't been worked on before. Your therapist will check in and adjust the pressure to your comfort level. If you experience pain during your massage, let them know straight away.

Can I claim massage on my health fund?

Yes. Our remedial massage therapists are registered with health funds, and we have HICAPS available for on-the-spot claiming. Bring your health fund card and you only pay the gap.

How often should I get a massage?

It depends on your situation. Your therapist can recommend a schedule based on your needs. Some clients come monthly for maintenance, others when symptoms flare up. Regular treatment generally leads to better long-term outcomes.

Can I get a massage while pregnant?

Yes. Pregnancy massage is one of our specialties and is available from conception to birth. We have specially designed cushions that support the pregnant body safely and comfortably.

Are there any conditions where massage is not recommended?

Most people can benefit from massage. There are some contraindications including bleeding disorders, deep vein thrombosis, fractures in the target area, severe osteoporosis and severe thrombocytopenia. If you have a serious health condition or are undergoing cancer treatment, please discuss massage with your doctor before booking.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes. Gift vouchers are available for all massage lengths and can be personalised, emailed directly to the recipient or printed. They are valid for 3 years.
