Pregnancy places significant physical demands on the body. As your body changes throughout pregnancy, it is common to experience new aches, pains and areas of tension that were not present before.

At Feel Amazing Wellness Centre in Chatswood, we regularly support women through the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy, including lower back pain, pelvic discomfort, muscle tension, fatigue and sleep disruption.

Our practitioners provide pregnancy-focused care designed to help improve comfort, support movement and give you space to slow down and care for your body during a demanding time.

How we can help

At Feel Amazing, we offer a multidisciplinary approach to pregnancy care tailored to your individual needs and stage of pregnancy.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage is one of our most commonly booked pregnancy treatments and is often a helpful starting point for managing pregnancy-related aches, pains and muscle tension.

Our specially designed pregnancy cushion system allows most women to lie comfortably face down throughout pregnancy, providing additional support for the body during treatment and helping many women feel more comfortable overall.

Pregnancy massage may help reduce muscle tension, improve comfort, support relaxation and provide time to slow down and care for your body during pregnancy. Many women tell us they feel physically more comfortable, more relaxed and better able to manage the physical demands of pregnancy after treatment.

Many women begin treatment well before the final weeks of pregnancy, particularly once physical discomfort, sleep disruption or muscle tension starts becoming more noticeable. Learn more about pregnancy massage

Chiropractic

Our chiropractor Elijah has experience providing care throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period. As the body adapts and changes throughout pregnancy, chiropractic care may help manage musculoskeletal discomfort and support comfort and movement.

Treatment is tailored to your stage of pregnancy and individual presentation. Learn more about chiropractic

Dry Needling

Dry needling may be used during pregnancy where appropriate, particularly for areas of ongoing muscle tension in the lower back, hips and gluteal region. Learn more about dry needling

Acupuncture

Pregnancy acupuncture may help support nausea management, sleep, relaxation and general pregnancy-related discomfort.

From around weeks 35 to 36, acupuncture may also be used as part of birth preparation and support during the later stages of pregnancy.

Moxibustion (a warming technique used within Traditional Chinese Medicine) may sometimes be used from around weeks 33 to 35 in pregnancies involving breech presentation. Learn more about acupuncture

Naturopathy

Our naturopath Anthony provides online consultations focused on nutrition, lifestyle and general wellbeing support during pregnancy. This may include support around energy levels, dietary considerations and recovery during pregnancy and early parenthood. Learn more about naturopathy

Our team approach to pregnancy care

At Feel Amazing, our practitioners can communicate with each other where appropriate so your care feels coordinated and consistent.

Some women benefit from combining different treatment approaches during pregnancy, while others prefer to focus on one type of care.

The focus is always on what feels most appropriate, comfortable and supportive for you during your pregnancy.

If you are unsure where to begin, pregnancy massage is often a good starting point and your practitioner can help guide you based on your symptoms and stage of pregnancy.

Postnatal care

Caring for a newborn places new physical demands on the body through feeding, lifting, carrying and interrupted sleep.

Our practitioners can help support comfort, recovery and overall wellbeing during the postnatal period through treatments such as postnatal massage, chiropractic care and acupuncture.

The information on this page is general in nature. If you have a serious, worsening or persistent condition, please consult your GP or specialist. Our practitioners will take a health history, discuss your individual situation and obtain your consent before treatment begins.
