Sumin is a qualified and registered acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner with over 7 years of clinical experience. She is passionate about providing thoughtful, person-centred care that supports both physical health and overall wellbeing, helping clients feel heard, supported, and more balanced in their day-to-day lives.
After completing her Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Technology Sydney, Sumin continued developing her clinical knowledge through her work as both a TCM practitioner and registered nurse. This combination of traditional medicine and modern healthcare knowledge allows her to approach treatment with both a holistic and evidence-informed perspective.
Sumin has particular interests in women’s health, stress and mental wellbeing, digestive health, and musculoskeletal pain. She believes every person is unique and tailors treatment according to the individual’s symptoms, lifestyle, health history, and overall presentation.
Her treatments may incorporate acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine principles, acupressure, and other Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques designed to support the body’s natural balance and healing processes. As part of her assessment, Sumin considers factors such as sleep, stress, digestion, energy levels, and daily habits, alongside traditional diagnostic methods including tongue and pulse assessment.
Clients often appreciate Sumin’s calm and reassuring nature, particularly those who may feel nervous about trying acupuncture for the first time. She takes the time to explain treatments clearly and create a comfortable experience for each person. For clients concerned about needles, Sumin also offers alternative approaches such as acupressure and ear seeds where appropriate.
Sumin enjoys helping people better understand the connection between stress, lifestyle, physical symptoms, and overall health, supporting clients in finding practical and sustainable ways to improve their wellbeing over time.
